It occurs to me that the sole focus of democratic Governments is to avoid being seen to be wrong. They seem incapable of ever admiting to being wrong. Is this some fear going back a long time that we are all afraid of being wrong? Seeing that we all fuck up sooner or later why do we as a society not simply accept that failure, in judgement or behavior, is part of the human condition ?
